David Devoy - Regional Director, London North and East
David joined St Mungo's in 1988 as a Project Worker, and was appointed Regional Director in 2004. He has lead responsibility for developing and managing St Mungo's housing related services in the North and East Region of the capital. He holds various qualifications including a Diploma in Management Studies (Development) and an MA in Journalism Studies. He has worked closely with Outside In, St Mungo's client involvement group, to support their role and development within the organisation.
Paul Thomas - Regional Director, London South and West
Paul also came to St Mungo's in 1988, as a Project Worker at our Tufnell Park Registered Care Home. Before being appointed to his current role in 2004, he held posts as the Resettlement Manager and Head of Housing. Paul manages all accommodation and services, including street outreach, resettlement and substance use, in South and West London. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing and the senior staff sponsor for St Mungo's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender group (LGBT).
Elizabeth Harper - Regional Director - Southern and South West England Regions
Elizabeth joined St Mungo's in 1992. Within our client facing services, she has been a Project Worker, Hostel Manager and semi-independent housing Group Manager. She spent two years as St Mungo's Supporting People (SP) Co-ordinator, meeting with central government to influence the implementation of the Supporting People programme and negotiating funding with our Supporting People commissioners. She was appointed Head of Performance in 2003 with lead responsibility for client involvement, quality assurance and associated best practice contracts and new business, and the development of the Outcomes Star.
Elizabeth is now leading St Mungo's national expansion and retains a strategic lead for the Outcomes Star.
Alexia Murphy - Director of New Business
Alexia joined St Mungo's in 1991 as a project worker at Vartry Road, Haringey. After four years as deputy manager at our Endell Street project in Camden, and a further two years managing another project, near Kings Cross, she went on to become Group Manager for Specialist Hostels, Shelters and Outreach in 1998. Before her current role she was formerly joint Director of Programmes, with responsibility for community and offender services, for six years. She was appointed to her current role in June 2010 to head our New Business Directorate, where she is developing a new business strategy and lead on bids for statutory funding.
Educated to postgraduate level, Alexia is leading on improving services for women clients.
Peter Cockersell - Director Health and Recovery
Peter began his career at St Mungo's in 1993 as a floating support worker, becoming Community Support Manager in 1994, Supported Housing Manager in 1996, Group Manager for Resettlement and Specialist services in 1999, and joint Director of Programmes in 2004. In June 2010 he was appointed Director of the newly formed Health and Recovery Directorate and will lead on recovery and improving client outcomes, including client participation. The Health Directorate is also responsible for standards and governance in health and recovery-related work, CQC registration, and leads on Safeguarding. Peter is also a Director and Company Secretary of Homeless Healthcare CIC, a new social enterprise set up to provide and advise on healthcare for homeless people.
Peter has a clinical qualification as a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, an MSc in Intercultural Therapy from UCL Dept of Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership in Health and Wellbeing.
