In a typical year, St Mungo's helps 125 homeless men and women into jobs, and provides over 1200 others with training to help them become ready for employment.
However, despite helping more homeless people into work and education than any other charity, our services faced an 80% reduction in 2007, due to cuts in funding from the European Social Fund.
St Mungo's three training and employment projects for the Capital's most vulnerable and socially excluded people - Bridge Resource Centre, The Employment Team and The Workshop - remain on the brink of closure and we continue to talk to both local and national Government about the future of these services.
