What is face-to-face fundraising?

Face-to-face fundraising is where trained fundraisers speak to members of the public about a charity and ask them to sign up to support the charity via direct debit. These conversations can take place on the street or at someone's doorstep.

Fundraisers that are working on the street or visiting people's homes only ask people to sign up to support the charity via direct debit. They do not ask for or collect cash from people.

St Mungo's street fundraisers work for the charity directly. We recruit, train and manage our own street teams.

Charities sometimes employ a professional fundraising organisation to manage their face-to-face campaign. St Mungo's works with an organisation called Home Fundraising to help with our door-to-door fundraising.
