Client Involvement Training
Course outline
Aim
To enable participants to consider to what extent clients are being consulted about the way the project is run and are involved its management, and what developments are need to achieve level B or A of the Supporting People Quality Assessment framework (QAF).
Outcomes
By the end of the session participants will:
- Be able to appreciate why the consulting and involving of clients is integral to meeting their needs
- Have critiqued St Mungo's procedures relating to client involvement
- Have considered the thirty two areas of the St Mungo's Client Involvement Tool Kit and decided upon areas for developing client involvement
- Have considered ways of implementing and evidencing client involvement to achieve level A and B of the QAF
- Have opportunities to learn from the client involvement practices of other participants
- Agree two or more action points at the end of each session.
Approach
The ½ and full days will be both practical and highly interactive using a range of exercises and materials. The trainer believes learning should be non-threatening, enjoyable and challenging of prejudice.
