Merchant Taylors' Company Charities Fund

The Merchant Taylor's Company have recently made a donation towards our Putting Down Roots programme and to renovate an office within the Grange Road hostel into a clinic. The clinic has a number of facilities on offer to the residents including, a nurse to carry out health checks, homeopathy, massage and access to Blackfriars Community Drug and Alcohol team. All of which have help to improve the residents quality of life. It is often hard for them to access mainstream healthcare due to personal fears and standardised health practices.

Putting Down Roots programme teaches people who are currently homeless or have been in the past, gardening skills. Gardening can help to improve both mental and physical health of those involved.
