Housing and homelessness

Providing a roof over someone's head is the start of supporting their recovery from homelessness

Too many people are falling through the safety net - no one should have to sleep rough. However, providing a roof over someone's head is just the start. There needs to be more and better supported housing for homeless people.

We want to see:

  • More high support housing for vulnerable and excluded groups.
  • Protection of housing-related support funding at a local and national level.
  • A recognition of the importance of recovery services.
  • Effective support from local authorities so that nobody has to sleep rough
