New Board Chair and Vice Chair for St Mungo's

St Mungo's has announced the election of Paul Doe, Chief Executive of Shepherds Bush Housing Group, as the new Chair of its Board and Gillian Charlesworth as new Vice Chair.

Paul DoeMr Doe was previously Vice Chair and succeeds publishing consultant Wendy Morris, who has stepped down from the Board after eight years. She was appointed to the Board in March 2002 and has served as Chair for the last three years.

Mr Doe has been CEO of Shepherds Bush Housing Group for 13 years. He was previously Deputy Director of Housing for the London Borough of Richmond and has worked for the Housing Corporation, City of Westminster, Hammersmith and Fulham, and Hyndburn councils.

Ms Charlesworth is Director of Corporate Affairs for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

The Board also thanked former Chair Dennis King and former Vice Chair and Treasurer Terry Price, who have stood down as their terms of office expired.

Paul Doe said: "Wendy Morris has been a dedicated supporter of St Mungo's for many years and committed a huge amount of time and energy to its growth and development. We are extremely grateful for all she's helped to achieve in her time on the Board and as Chair.

"Gillian and I have a great legacy to build on. She and I will be working closely with clients and staff in the years ahead, at a time when cuts look set to impact on some of the most vulnerable people in society."
