We work in some of London's busiest areas to identify people who are sleeping rough and to help them find accommodation.
Our outreach teams comb the streets looking for homeless people who need help; aiming to help people into accommodation as fast as possible.
Our hostels provide shelter for around twelve months, and aim to help each client recover sufficiently to move into more appropriate accommodation, independent or supported.
Sleeping rough is harmful and dangerous. We believe no one should end up sleeping rough in the UK in the 21st century.
Within London, we are members of the Mayor's London Delivery Board, which is a strategic partnership set up to end street homelessness in the capital by the end of 2012.
From April 2011 a new pilot initiative came into place called No Second Night Out. This involves rough sleepers being supported into an outreach hub and assessment centre, staffed 24 hours, where a professional team will talk to people about the personal options open to them. Our street outreach teams refer into the assessment hub.
