Emergency shelters for homeless people

An emergency shelter often provides the first step towards recovery for homeless people.

Here, staff work with homeless people to:

• Assess their particular needs
• Help them claim the benefits that enable us to house them in longer-term accommodation.

Emergency shelter residents can see the on-site GP to address their often worrying health conditions, and can also begin to adjust to life in a staffed hostel environment.
