The interviewers

St Mungo's uses peer research when and where possible. The oral history project was another great opportunity to involve clients and further develop people's skills.

Six interviewers, themselves St Mungo's clients, were trained in oral history interviewing.Sarah, Len, Neil, Sam, Freddie and Tara then worked with coordinator Mark Hutin on the 42 interviews. Some of them also took part in this short film about the experience. The film was directed and edited by Neil Allan.
